#15 Raptured Court of the Sanguine Rose
The advent of the False Messiah transformed the flesh-eaters of Barfunweltz into the Raptured Court of the Sanguine Rose. Transported to new heights of madness, mordants and abhorrents alike are now convinced that the End of All Times has arrived and that they are called to gather the mortals of all the realms to the False Messiah's eternal banquet.
Within the phantasmagoria of the Sanguine Rose delusion, these believers are spreading the good news of the Messiah's feast by impassioned oratory and compassionate acts, while countless souls rejoice to have their eyes opened to the light of truth. In reality, hoards of frenzied ghouls subdue their mortal 'converts' by brutal force and gorge themselves upon their flesh. Those who escape rapidly succumb to the delusion in desperation, for those who do not join this Messianic banquet simply became the next course.
The Bishop of Barfunweltz has escalated his ministry to new heights, preaching with an unprecedented fervour as his flock grows larger and larger. As well as creating new mordants, some entire flesh-eater courts in the Glymmsforge vicinity have become catechumenates subsumed into his delusion. Thus he has become the Arch-bishop of Barfunweltz, his powers perhaps even surpassing those of the False Messiah Himself. However, such is the nature of the Sanguine Rose Delusion that the Archbishop could never even conceive of usurping his beloved Lord.
As the Raptured Court started to multiply, the Archbishop commissioned his Chaplain to rebuild Barfunweltz Cathedral, which had been razed to the ground during the great tribulation. To the eyes of the Raptured Court, the cathedral now surpasses even its previous glory and magnificence. In reality, it has merely been adorned with rotting carcasses, splintered bones and putrid offal. At its centre it houses a towering charnel pulpit which amplifies still further the homiletical might of the Baby-Eating Archbishop of Barfunweltz.
