The Preacher was once the head of the missionary wing of the
Society of the Sanguine Rose, travelling far to spread The Apostle’s lies through his fiery oratory. Even in death, he still draws souls to follow the delusion and inspires the
Foolish Martyrs in their hatred of the living.

Some disciples of the Sanguine Rose foolishly sought to spread their message not by words but by sincere and kindly deeds. They are now cursed by Nagash forever to undo their gentle ministrations and healings in a frenzy of violence.
Many mortals were seduced by vain hope and converted to The False Apostle’s teaching. So bound were they to his message that they willingly suffered terrible persecution and were joyfully martyred for the pointless cause. Nagash deigns to perpetuate their foolish martyrdoms for all eternity, binding them to serve his true reality.

In contrast, some were unwilling converts to the Sanguine Rose and became the tragic victims of forced initiation. Many such souls were drowned at the hand of The Baptist and his sinister assistants. Other non-believers were burned alive or tortured to death. But Nagash is not merciful, and all these poor souls must thrash in futile resistance forever.
