#132 Battle XXXIX - Slayers of Dragons
Lord Tzunaak threw back his head and laughed uncontrollably, surrendering himself to the joy of sating his urges without restraint. Deep red gore streamed from his chin, his mouth unable to contain its abundance as he gulped it down.
Finally he paused, and bellowed, “There’s nothing quite like dragon blood is there?!”
All around him, his vampire knights grinned, their faces also smeared crimson. This is good, thought Tzunaak - his knights were satiated and appreciated his leadership. His little 'crusade' was going well.
"Come my faithful warriors," he declared, "we make for Gnaw's Edge!"

| Just one of Owen's amazing dragon models |
It's been almost three years since Owen and I last played a full game of AoS! But it's always a pleasure - and not just because his models are so well painted! He has taken a 'maximum quantity of dragons' approach to his Path to Glory army, which has proved challenging for him within the Stormcast and Ravaged Coast rules, but he managed to field no less than three against me! It seemed rather ominous when we rolled the 'Light the Fires' battleplan too... However, thanks to a very nifty redeploy when they descended from the heavens behind my lines, I was able to evade his charge and counter in my turn 2. Turns out not even dragons can stand before a triple blood knight charge...
I gained 5 emberstone so I recruited and promoted the King of Thorns, my mounted wight king. He will hopefully soon be joined by his retinue of barrow knights. I also added a summoning spell to my lore - a prismatic palisade should help a bit next time I have to face Toby's Kharadron Overlords. Having reached 20 emberstone, Toby and I are both now eligible for Gnaw's Edge battleplans, but we're planning on sitting out of the campaign for a couple of weeks to help some of the other players catch up a bit.
